Saudi Arabia Permits 200 Qataris Into Mecca For Umrah Pilgrimage

Saudi Arabia gave the permit 200 Qataris for Umrah Pilgrimage into Holy Haram. According to the news report of “Al Arabiya News Channel”, Salwa border crossing customs has completed the procedure about the pilgrimages of Qatar which allows the 206 pilgrims coming from Qatar heading toward Mecca.

Othman al-Ghamdi, who is the Director General of Customs at Salwa border crossing, informed that about 800 trucks were crossing the port daily to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ghamdi reported to Al Arabiya that entry and exit permits are just in accordance with the decision of Saudi Arabia by keeping in view the main decision including the sever ties with Qatar.

He also pointed out about the economy of the Qatar that has been related to some exports and imports that include more than 50 percent of cement from Saudi Arabia and more than 40 percent of fi valued at 310 million dollars annually. Qatar also has the great economy profits up to $ 178 million worth of vegetables and $416 million worth of livestock that cross over from Saudi Arabia that can create the major effect on its economy. He also added that Saudi Arabia economy will not be affected by the closure of the land borders as it relies on exporting its surplus needs to the Saudi market.
