The Battle of the Trench in Islam

The foundation of Islamic faith initiatives back to the early 7th century. When Allah chosen Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as His last Messenger or Prophet. When the Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) declared about the 1st Quranic Revelation and told the people of Quraysh that he is the Final Messenger of Allah. But they denied him and became worst competitors of whoever recognized Islam and labored them both physically and mentally. This condition directed to mass migration of Muslims from Makkah to Madinah with the permission of Allah.

History of Arab Society

Arabia was informally occupied by a number of Arabic speaking peoples, at the time of the first battle of Islam. The maximum people of Arab were followers of recurrent polytheistic religions and many tribes follow the Judaism, Christianity and Zoroastrianism.

When Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) told them that he is the last and final Messenger of Allah. But they denied him.  Then He (PBUH) ongoing to preach to his tribe 1st in secret and then openly. Quraysh tribe was amenably acts of ferocity being committ against the Muslims in 622 A.D then He and his followers journey to neighboring city of Madinah. This migration is called Hijra and noticeable the foundation of Hazrat Muhammad’s (PBUH) rule as both a political as well as a religious leader.

Background of Battle Trench

After the Battle of Badr and Uhad in 624 and 625 A.D respectively the next expulsion was close to them. They knew the Quraysh therefore they dug a trench to render the enemy cavalry ineffective. The reason behind this Battle Trench was to protect the Madinah from attack. After Banu Nazir and Banu Qaynuqa tribes shaped an grouping with the Quraysh to attack him. As retaliation for ejecting them from Madinah during the Assault.

This Battle Trench is also recognize as the Battle of the Confederates was a 27 days long barrier of Madinah by Prophet (PBUH) army and Quraysh tribe. The strength of the Battle Trench militaries is predictable around 10 thousand men with six hundred horses and some camels and Madinah army strength was 3 thousand only. This Battle Trench was fought in the winter season.
